How to install a new Travel eSIM?
First of all, make sure that you have an Internet connection in order to set up your travel eSIM.
iPhone installation:
Best time to install: Before your trip, while connected to Wi‑Fi.
Open Settings and tap Cellular or Mobile Data.
Tap Add eSIM.
Scan the QR code sent to you after purchase.
Tap Continue and let your iPhone download the eSIM.
Name your line something easy to spot, like Lumatel Travel, Trip Data, or Beach Mode.
Keep your regular line as the default for calls, iMessage, FaceTime, and Apple ID.
Choose your Lumatel line for Mobile Data when you are abroad, and leave Allow Mobile Data Switching turned off.
Go back into Cellular / Mobile Data, tap your Lumatel line, and make sure it is turned on.
Turn Data Roaming on for your Lumatel line.
Once you arrive, switch off Wi‑Fi briefly to test the connection.
Travel tip: If you do not need your home carrier during the trip, turn off your primary line to help avoid extra roaming charges.
Important: Your Lumatel Travel eSIM will only connect in destinations covered by your plan.
Android installation:
Best time to install: Before your trip, while connected to Wi‑Fi.
Open Settings and tap Network & Internet (or Connections on some phones).
Tap SIMs or SIM Manager, then tap the + icon to add a new SIM.
Choose Download a SIM instead? or Add eSIM.
Tap Next to continue.
When the camera opens, use it to scan the Lumatel Travel eSIM QR code sent to you after purchase.
Tap Download or Install and wait for the eSIM to finish adding.
Go back to Settings > SIMs / SIM Manager, then select your new Lumatel Travel eSIM.
Activate the Lumatel eSIM and make sure it is turned on for mobile data when you are abroad.
Turn on Data Roaming for your Lumatel Travel eSIM when you arrive at your destination.
Once roaming is on, switch off Wi‑Fi briefly to test the connection.
Important: Your Lumatel Travel eSIM will only connect and use data in the destinations covered by your plan.
